Sunshine Foundation Inc.Black Swamp Feature Quilt is Twisted Bargello
The 2008 Black Swamp Benefit Bazaar feature quilt was designed and pieced by Carolyn Snyder of Pettisville, Ohio, who stands beside her creation in the attached photo. The piece has been named “Twisted Bargello” because of its undulating pattern of harvest colored fabric squares. This unique piece, measuring 115” x 96”, was quilted by friends of Black Swamp at the Fairlawn Haven retirement community in Archbold.

It will be sold at public auction at the Fulton County Fairground in Wauseon on Saturday, June 21 as part of the 7th Annual Black Swamp Benefit Bazaar & Quilt Auction. A group of volunteers from area churches and supporting organizations puts on the two-day family fest...

Sunshine Foundation Inc. Sunshine Foundation Overview
Sunshine Foundation, Inc., was established in 1984 to improve the quality of life of the individuals served by Sunshine Inc. of Northwest Ohio. The mission of Sunshine is to enhance the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families.

Sunshine strives to create loving communities by providing residential and related services to more than 900 individuals and their families across Northwest Ohio. Sunshine is guided by the vision of its founders, Roy and Georgette Engler, and values of the Mennonite Faith.

The vast majority of Sunshine, Inc.'s funding comes from state and federal sources. However, these funds do not provide the extras needed by the people we serve. From custom-fitted wheelchairs to clothing to major construction projects, the Foundation and its supporters are there to provide needed programs, projects and personnel.

The Foundation's endowment fund helps ensure that Sunshine's high quality services will continue in an era of uncertain government funding. Private donations of all kinds are critically important to Sunshine's future.
